honest men burns supper cheque

Honest Men Burns Supper

After the success of the inaugural Honest Men Burns Supper that was held on March 18th 2011 at the Somerset Park Hospitality Suite, we are pleased to announce that the total funds raised reached a staggering £2000, which is being split equally between Ayr United Football Academy Young Players fund and The Panda Pals.

This cash will allow promising young players to be signed on professional terms and potentially feed into the first team. The Panda Pals half will go towards developing the benefits for young fans that hold Panda Pals season tickets.

The cheque presentation was made under glorious sunshine at the half time break of Saturday's Ayr United victory over Forfar at Somerset Park with .

The event was organised by The Panda Pals coordinators and many thanks must go to them for their time and effort that helped make the event a success.

Ex Ayr United player, Davie Kennedy, who responded to the toast on the night of the event, was also in attendance when the cheque was presented on Saturday.

Pictured accepting the cheques on behalf of the AUFA are AUFA 16's player Sean Robertson, Panda Pals Representative ?, Pandamonium, AUFA 16's player Bobby McLatchie, Head of Youth Davie White, AUFA 19's and AUFC squad players Robbie Crawford (f) and Gareth Armstrong (f).
