Irn Bru Tops For Youths

The Irn Bru bus was in town on Saturday  to help raise awareness of the Tops for Youths campaign. In the glorious sunshine in the shadow of Somerset Park, festivities got under way and was a great success with kids and adults alike getting involved. Ayr United and Ayr United Football Academy would like to thank everyone for their continued support and with less than four weeks left to run in the campaign, we would invite everyone to dig deep with a final push that will see us rise to the top of the collection table and hopefully win the £10'000 top prize.

Honest Men's Burns Supper

At the recent Honest Men's Burns Supper at the Hospitality suite, Ian Thomson won a superb prize of a matchday visit and Coaching session for 20 kids, kindly provided by AUFA. We were all very pleased to welcome Ian and his group at Saturdays game against Forfar. The kids had a great time when they were put through their paces by the Academy coaches after the game.

Easter Football Camp

This Easter the Ayr United Football Academy are running a fantastic football training course for youngsters in Ayrshire. On the 12th, 13th and 14th April 2011, an Easter football training camp will take place at the Pro Soccer football complex in Whitletts.

Children aged between 3 and 12 are invited to come along and enjoy this fantastic football coaching experience. The children will be split up into three age groups 3-4, 5-8 and 8-12 with prices ranging from £10-£24.

Included in the cost is also a match ticket to an Ayr United first team game as well as a memento to remind them of the week.

On the final day of the week, there will also be some special guest appearances. The official Ayr United mascot Pandamonium will come along to meet the children and the AUFA coaches are hoping that current Ayr United Football Club Manager Brian Reid will make an appearance as well.

There will 6 SFA qualified coaches on hand to conduct sessions which will consist of training, small sided games and lots of enjoyable games. Boys and girls are welcome and no previous playing experience is required; just a willingness to learn and play lots of football.

The training week has been running for more than 4 years and has always been a huge success due to the children learning new football skills as well as meeting new friends and having fun in a safe and well organised environment.

The week is set to be unmissable, so book now by contacting the Ayr United Academy development officer, Craig Richmond 01292 263435 or alternatively e-mail him at craig.richmond@aufa.org.uk
