Ayr's 17s side travelled over to Dundee for a rearranged fixture with Peterhead and the journey was well worth the four hour trip as the lads made it three wins out of three so far this season.

Two goals from Steven Hutchison and one each for Scott Aitken and Andrew Muir were enough for the visitors as they came from behind to defeat the Highlanders.

One sour point from the match was the horrendous challenge made on defender Chris McFadzean, early reports from his family have came back as good news though as A&E released him without damage.

Ayr 16s travelled through to the Kingdom of Fife and carried on their good form of previous weeks as right from the start of the game it was Ayr who created the goalscoring opportunities.

Striker Lewis Schofield, playing his debut game, scored two quickfire goals which was quickly followed with a header from Calum Sands. Ayr grew in confidence from this and just before the half time break, scored what was undoubtedly the goal of the game. The move started with goalkeeper McLatchie and Ayr then made over 15 passes before striker Fraser latched onto a pass to finish what was a fantastic team goal.

The second half mirrored the first in terms of Ayr dominating the play, however Ayr didn’t capitalise on the numerous chances they created until the last 20 mins when Fraser and Shankland added to their goalscoring tally's and end the match scoring again.

Coach Davie White said “ This was a  first class performance from the players who showed great enthusiasm and attitude today. Combined with the quality and composure of their play today, the players can again take confidence from their all round performance."

Ayr's under 15 side were the only side on home duty and made it seventh heaven for their boss and parents watching as they fired in goal after goal against a very good Stirling side.

The first goal of the game came courtesy of Mick Ahearns head from a corner, as he rose brilliantly above all others around him to fire his side into the lead.

Ayr were looking comfortable on the ball but Stirling were pushing themselves back into the match and made a couple of attempts on the Ayr rearguard but the defence and keeper coped well with the attacking threat.

Goal scoring machine, Ryan Nisbet, soon scored the first of five for himself as he chased down a route one ball and coolly passed it past the Stirling keeper much to the protestations of offside from the visiting coaching staff. Nisbet soon added his second when another long ball was met by the youngster who nicked the ball in via the far post to give the home side a comfortable lead.

The Stirling defence didn't learn to mark Nisbet who again met a diagonal long ball and again passed the ball under the goalie but Ryan was to score his goal of the afternoon when he dinked the ball over a full stretch keeper from close range with the outside of his foot after a great cross from Jason Fillipi.

Mick Ahearn was to assist in the next goal after some nice play down the right, made it possible for him to play a great ball into Jason Fillipi, who blasted under the onrushing keeper to give the AUFA side an unassailable lead.

The Ayr boys took their foot off the gas slightly near the end as Stirling scored two quickfire goals to give themselves some hope of pulling themselves back into the match but Ryan Nisbet was to score his fifth of the match with very little time left after Jason Fillipi crossed from the right, making it easy for the top scorer to finish the game off.

Next weeks fixtures sees the 19 back in action at home to Annan, 17s also at home to Arbroath, 16s at home to Alloa, 15s away to Clyde, 14s at home to Ross County.

The Ayr girls are looking for players as well at the moment for their under 11s and 13s. If you or your daughter fits the bill, contact shaun@ayrunitedfc.co.uk or p.mac2242@hotmail.co.uk
